MISSION – To educate residents and visitors on proper dog etiquette & responsible dog ownership that ensures Bedford’s streets, trails and neighborhoods are kept clean and healthy for dogs and people; and to highlight dog friendly events and opportunities throughout the region.
Bark Bedford is on a mission, and we need your help! We are operating with 2 different phases in mind.
During phase 1, our goal is to install poop bag trash bin stations around the downtown business borough area.
Phase 2 will include the building of our “BARK BEDFORD PARK” as part of the new Bedford Greens Park Improvements Initiative.
Bark Bedford has been formed as a 501(c)3 under the auspices of the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies. Our members are presently working with the Borough of Bedford to build a dog park in a designated area of the Bedford Greens Park, which is a part of the larger umbrella project – “The Bedford Greens Park Improvements Initiative.”
The Bark Bedford Park will be the only dog park within a 30 mile radius, which will draw dog lovers from a tri-county area to downtown Bedford.
